Babatunde was born in Osun State Nigeria, and predictably, Osun State, and Ile-Ife hold a special place in his heart. In 2019, his zeal and passion to serve compelled him to go into politics, where he contested the Nigerian General Elections as a Senatorial candidate for the Accord Party in the Osun East Senatorial District, and came third.

Babatunde seeks to devote all his talents and energy to an Osun State where equity, social justice and the rule of law will be cornerstones, where education, health, youth employment, women’s empowerment and advocacy will not only be dreamed of, but enjoyed in abundance, where infrastructural development that will aid economic development and the emancipation of the populace from the grip of poverty, will be taken for granted.

The Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria (PDP) has now inducted Babatunde into it’s ranks, and the future bodes well for an opportunity for him to use his talents in the service of Ile-Ife, Osun State and by extension, Nigeria.

Babatunde has always imbibed and maintained a strong sense of integrity and service, and these attributes have translated into the zeal and desire to serve his country in whatever capacity he is asked to.
