Education is the bedrock of development. An uneducated and ignorant society is a retrogressive, dangerous and desperate one. At a time when the world, due to the advancement in technology is steaming ahead, Nigeria cannot stand still, as that amounts to going backwards essentially. Our Primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions, must be critically assessed and revamped, from physical infrastructure and teaching aids and equipment, to curriculum, to teachers; welfare. These are vital arms of education that need to be functional in order to restore our country’s institution to the world class levels they previously enjoyed in years past.
